Paige Alonso

Director of Public Relations & Social Media

 

Paige is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Communication Studies at Kean University, while also serving as the Director of Public Relations and Social Media for the Lesniak Institute for American Leadership. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in English-Writing and minor in Communication Studies.

Paige has earned awards from the New Jersey Collegiate Press Association (NJCPA) in General Excellence, Layout and Design, and Overall Website as well as a Certificate of Leadership for her involvement with the Quo Vadis Newspaper of Middlesex County College.

For two years, Paige taught in an at-risk district after-school program, teaching students American Sign Language, English, and history. While attending Kean, Paige served on the Earth Science Club and Blank Slate Magazine executive boards and volunteered many hours to the Surfrider Foundation, Clean Ocean Action, American Littoral Society, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and Kean University.

Paige continues to serve her community by volunteering her time to social efforts. She believes the first step to change is awareness and advocacy. With her background in public relations and social media, she hopes to bring those who are looking to make a difference to the forefront.
